#CleanUpInPlace

During these difficult times it is no surprise that many people have turned to nature for comfort. Many people have begun taking daily walks and spending more time in their immediate neighborhoods. It is important now, more than ever, for us to take pride in and care for our community. Unfortunately, due to health concerns, KNHB will not be participating in any clean ups for the remainder of the Spring season.

In light of this, we are introducing a new feature on our website and social media, #CleanUpInPlace. While you are out exercising or on a walk with family, bring along a trash bag and help us keep Keeping New Hanover Beautiful. Share a photo of your collections afterwards with the hashtag #CleanUpInPlace and you could be featured on our website and social media! We look forward to "seeing" you soon!

*****Please continue to practice social distancing, using protective measures and do not travel to locations outside of your necessary routine, in accordance with the North Carolina Governor's mandate.*****

Participating is easy!

1

Take a walk with the family in your neighborhood, back yard or open trail

2

Bring along a trash bag (and gloves) and collect any trash you see

3

Snap a photo of your collections and share it with us on Social Media using #CleanUpInPlace
