About The Event

Our Second Saturday Cleanup is coming up soon!

February's cleanup is hosted in partnership with Cape Fear River Watch and the North Carolina Wildlife Federation.

Volunteers will be cleaning up Burnt Mill Creek from Market St to Princess Place Dr. Most of the litter is in the creek itself, we will provide kayaks and canoes for those interested. Others can clean up along the creek banks.

As an added bonus, the Trees4Trash program of NCWF and Plastic Ocean Project will double our impact! For every 25 lobs of trash removed, NCWF will plant one native plant.

Remember to dress appropriately (work boots or rubber boots or waders, long pants and sleeves) and bring plenty of water. Stay tuned for parking!
